Project Goals & InspirationThis sophisticated homeowner in downtown Chicago, IL, loves a new, one of a kind look for every season. For the December 2016 season, we wanted to create an inviting holiday atmosphere with a twist on the traditional.

By incorporating platinum & metallic accents with raspberry and purple pops color and some natural elements like painted pine cones and birch poles, our designers came up with a unique and personal design that matched our urban homeowners aesthetic and the style of the brownstone.

Being in the city, with lots of foot and vehicle traffic, requires elements and materials that will hold up in extreme weather and under any conditions. By spraying all the greens with an anti-desicant and hand building every element, the design will hold up well through December and into the winter months.

Front Door SwagThe front door swag was created by hand using fresh boxwood roping as the base.

The entire roping was encircled with gold grapevine garland, platinum glittered balls and pine cones as well as fresh purple seeded eucalyptus, and raspberry & gold pines cones.

The top of the swag was topped off with a grouping of all the accents and silver and white stems.

Entrance Porch Pot

The large porch pot along the sidewalk offer a colorful and sparkling welcome to any visitor. Height is gained by bunching dark purple stems, birch logs and silver and gold stems. They are surrounded by 20 platinum vine balls and we used silver fir to fill in the bottom and create draping along the base.

Custom Wreath

This custom wreath is a showstopper. Created with a 20” fresh boxwood wreath as the base, we pulled in all the accents and loads of warm and cool colors to create a sophisticated design that is welcoming and luxurious.

The perfect green satin bow at the base pops dur to the bright purple stitched designs and guests will love the faint scent of fresh eucalyptus from the stems included throughout.

Front Porch Winterscape

These matching porch pots reflect a new modern take on winterscape design.

The more linear look is fresh and matches the style of the townhouse and the tall black front door.

Built in layers we started with basic silver fir for draping, followed by boxwood, gold twine balls, light purple fresh eucalyptus and upright Frasier fir.

For height we added rows of white and gold twigs, purple twisted stems and birch poles.

Entrance & Front Yard

We wanted to create a blanket of greens with pops of bright color for the gated front landscape of

the home. With evergreen shrubs anchoring the design, we added raspberry painted twisted stems to the corners, filled the entire space with fresh greenery and

then used the large winterscape as the centerpiece of the deisgn.
