Who We AreChild HELP Foundation is a nonprofit charitable community organization created to promote Extended Health care, Special Education and Social programs to enhance the

quality of Life, develop and fulfill the Potential of Children with disabilities.

The Foundation is dedicated to providing humanitarian support for children through financial grants to qualified not-for-profit

organizations that serve them in Delaware.

MessageIt takes a CommunItyGreetings,

Despite the present economic shape of our nation, it is humbling to realize that a great number of people in our community are possessed of great understanding and generous hearts and are willing to help us fulfill our mission. The anthropologist Margaret meade quoted “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can

change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”. Thank you for coming to our 2nd Annual fundraiser “September Affair”. To Mrs. Avelina Kramedas , a most special “Thank you “ for opening her beautiful home for this event.

When I trained to become a physician and later a plastic surgeon, I was exposed to children with physical and mental disabilities, from birth defects, trauma or diseases. I have always wondered what kind of life they would have in the future. I have asked myself if there was something I could do. For many years, I practiced my profession faithfully and continued to help those children any opportunity I had. Someone once told me that I was lucky, I could do something to help those children. I know that I could not serve the whole of humanity but I could serve my part of the world.

By 2007, although I was already retired, the desire to help children with disabilities never waned. So to reach out for the children with disabilities in our community, I established this Foundation. I envisioned the Child HELP Foundation would help enhance the potentials of children with disabilities. With the help of a group of passionate and prescient individuals who were equally tireless in their goals to help those in need, the Foundation was born. Like a child, the Foundation has found its feet and has grown into what it is today. And it continues to grow because of support from businesses and individuals like you. We cannot do this by ourselves. Indeed, it takes a community to raise a child.

I hope this event will lift our spirits in this uncertain time, and that we will find it in our hearts to continue to see the need to extend our helping hands to the children with disabilities in our community.

Every single cent donated will go to the Child HELP Foundation Fund at the Delaware

Community Foundation. Give them as gifts for the Holidays, if you already have them.
