Facility Information

Cherry Valley Elementary is an integral part of the Duvall community. The building is used, after school hours, on a regular basis by a number of community and civic groups.

The building was originally opened in 1957 with additions in the mid-70s and mid-80s. Our recent remodel included updating the 1980 and 1989 Cherry Valley additions along with construction of a lunchroom and kitchen and improvements to the parking lot and campus access.

PTA Cherry Valley is especially strengthened through its relationship with the Cherry Valley PTA. Each year, our active PTA organizes and coordinates hundreds of volunteer hours for activities such as vision and hearing screenings, school pictures, the Back to School Bash, bingo and skate nights, the Cheetah Walk and Jump-a-thon, Reflections, Staff Appreciation Week and the Art Docent program. Cherry Valley PTA has an annual budget of more than $40,000 to support programs, projects, and additional materials that enhance the educational quality of our students, such as our after-school enrichment classes and reading programs.

Student Services Cheetah Club Cheetah Club is the on-campus before and after school care program open to K-5 students from Cherry Valley and ERMA. As an enrichment-based center, students have many opportunities to explore new areas of interest in a safe and nurturing environment with experienced district staff. Children play an active role in planning projects and activities. This helps to improve confidence, character and leadership skills. Students have numerous opportunities to practice teamwork, explore their creativity, learn empathy, develop multi-age friendships, and improve reasoning and conflict resolution skills. Club activities include Mad Science, Lego Masters, Artist Palette, Cooking Club, Star “Books” Café, Homework Club, Fit-n-Fun, Movie Club, Writers Block, Physical and Brainiac Challenges.
