48 - 126The Photochemical Synthesis of Naphtho[2,3-g]thiopheno[3,2-e]benzo[b]thiophene: A New Heterocyclic System. — The hithertounknown bis(thienyl) derivative (IV) is prepared by palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling between thienylzinc chloride and dibromonaphthalene (II), obtained in86% yield (i. e. 23% more than the literature process).
