The main secondary metabolites of Quararibea funebris, funebrine (I) and funebral (II), isolated from the flowers of title species in insufficient quantity, are synthesized for full biological evaluation. Their conformational preferences are studied by molecular mechanics calculation, NMR chemical shift, NOE, and barrier to rotation measurements. — (DONG, YING; PAI, NIRANJAN N.; ABLAZA, SHERI L.; YU, SHAO-XIA; BOLVIG, SIMON; FORSYTH, DAVID A.; LE QUESNE, PHILIP W.; J.
