24 - 014Preparation and Structures of Salts with the Anions of IF-2, CIF-4,IF- 4, TeF-7, and AsF-4. — Single crystal structures are presentedfor the title anions precipitated as 1,1,3,3,5,5-hexamethylpiperidinium (pip+)salts. Precise structural data for these ions are obtained for the first timeand confirm the expected geometries. The pip+ cation has the advantage ofyielding good crystallinity, avoiding crystal twinning, and resulting in weakcation-anion interactions. pip+ IF-2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space groupP21/c with Z = 4; pip+ClF-4 is tetragonal, I41cd, Z = 16; (pip+)2IF-4H2F-3is monoclinic, P21/n, Z = 4; pip+AsF-4 is also monoclinic, P21/c, Z = 4; andpip+TeF-7 belongs to the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 2. — (ZHANG,X.; SEPPELT, K.; Z.
