Structures of Partially and Fully Dehydrated Na,H 3 O–X by X-Ray and Neutron Diffraction. — Sodium zeolite X of stoichiometry Na 92 Si 100 Al 92 O 384 in equilibrium with 0.1 M aq. NaOAc at pH 6.35 yields Na 60 (H 3 O) 32 (H 2 O) 24 Si 100 Al 92 O 384 (I) after partial dehydration at 20 ◦ C and Na 60 H 32 Si 100 Al 92 O 384 (II) after complete dehydration at 150 ◦ C. (I) crystallizes in the cubic space group Fd 3 and (II) in the cubic space group Fd 3m (single crystal XRD).
