A Zr/Mg phosphate composite is developed and can stabilize ash waste that is contaminated with a radioac- tive surrogate of the 137 Cs and 90 Sr species. Short- and long-term leaching tests both show effective containment. The performance of the final waste products satisfies the regulatory criteria. — (SINGH, DILEEP; TLUSTO- CHOWICZ, MARCIN; WAGH, ARUN S.; J. Am. Ceram. Soc. 82 (1999) 1, 43-49; Energy Technol.
