Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation of Novel γ-Carboline Ketones as An-ticancer Agents. — A series of novel γ-carboline ketones (I) is designed, synthesized and evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against several human cancer cell lines. Most of the substances display moderate to potent cytotoxic activities against the tested cells.
