MATERIALSStabilizer

Supplies/Notions

• Start Here Embroidery Blanks by OESD Pre-made Card size A7 10 pack • Removable Marking Pen or Pencil• Organ Needle Size 75/11 Sharp needle• OESD Expert Embroidery Press Cloth• Fabric Scrap or Scrapbook Paper 5” x 7” (Variation 1)• OESD Expert Embroidery Tape TearAway





INSTRUCTIONS - VARIATION 1

Step 1• Hoop one piece of Medium Weight TearAway.

Step 2• Stitch Color 1, the Placement Stitch.

Step 3• Place the front of the card within the placement stitch, lining up all

edges.



Step 4• Tape in place. • Note: Expert Embroidery Tape TearAway will not leave residue on the

paper or tear the cardstock.

Step 5• Stitch the remaining colors, following the thread chart.

Step 6• Remove the card and stabilizer from the hoop. • Place the card face down and fold the stabilizer towards the card. • Carefully cut the stabilizer away, close to the stitching. • Note: Even though the stabilizer is a tear away, it

is better to cut the stabilizer away from the card to prevent bending or creasing the cardstock.





Step 7• Scrapbook paper or fabric can be used to cover the back of the

embroidery. • Cut coordinating fabric (or scrapbook paper) slightly larger than the

front of the card. • Cut a piece of Fuse and Seal to fit. Following the package instructions,

iron the Fuse and Seal to the wrong side of the fabric (scrapbook paper).

• Trim the fabric (scrapbook paper) about an 1/8” smaller than the front of the card.

• Peel the paper from the back of the fabric (scrapbook paper) to expose the Fuse and Seal adhesive.

Step 8• Place the fabric (scrapbook paper) right side up onto the wrong side of

the stitching.

Step 9• Place the card front side down onto the Perfect Embroidery Press

Cloth. • Using a dry iron, fuse to the card. • Note: Fuse and Seal is permanent. It will prevent the fabric from

raveling.




Step 10• The card is now complete!




Step 1• 2 cards folded to 5” x 7” • Cut one card in half on the fold.

Step 2• Hoop 1 piece of stabilizer and Stitch Machine Step 1, Card Placement

Line.

Step 3• Place 5” x 7” piece of cardstock within the Card Placement Line. • Tape in place.




Step 4• Stitch the remaining colors, following the thread chart.

Step 5• Once the design is finished, carefully remove the card from the stabilizer.

Step 6• Cut 1 piece of Fuse and Seal slightly smaller than the size of your card.





Step 7• With a medium warm iron, fuse to the back of the embroidered card.

Step 8• Once cool, remove the paper backing.

Step 9• Place the embroidered half of the card over the front of the second

card and fuse with a medium warm iron. • The back of the embroidery is now hidden.




Step 10


• The card is now complete!
