What the Research Proves...

Research shows that even very young children who have experienced high father involvement show an increase in curiosity and in problem solving capacity.

High involvement at the early childhood level, such as how often they read, tell stories and play with their children contribute to language and literacy development and give them information and knowledge about people, places and things.

When non-custodial fathers are highly involved with their children’s learning, the children are more likely to get As at all grade levels.

When fathers are involved in the lives of their children, especially their education, their children learn more, perform better in school, and exhibit healthier behavior. Even when fathers do not share a home with their children, their active involvement can have a lasting and positive impact.

This service encourages fathers to spend positive and quality time with their children and support the positive involvement of both parents, emphasizing team parenting.

Parents are encouraged to build healthy and respectful relationships, resolve conflicts, agree on child-rearing practices, and resolve issues. This is important to the healthy development of children and increases their chances of having a safe and happy childhood helping them to become responsible, mature adults.

Fathers are encouraged to take on leadership roles by building on their strengths and increasing their connections to the community.
