rley silage ration to ensure prope

tritionist Kris at Hi-Pro Feeds. Fe

The majority of our cows are artifi

cially bred and we keep gestation

s on the calves, we feel this has

a big

part to do with their birth weight a

nd helps our customers in determ

ining calving ease. We also inclu

a calving ease score which is ba

sed on birth weight, gestation, the

dams calving history and the bu

ild of

the bull. As you read foot notes y

ou will notice a lot of 10-12 year o

ld mothers. We cull hard and if a

cow doesn’t measure up she won

’t be around long.

We are very proud of this set of bu

lls, we have all types in this offerin

g , a cow bull, or a heifer

bull or both in any colour. These

bulls have super dispositions, tem

perament is a big part of this oper

a-

tion. If we can’t trust an animal a

round our children we sure won’t

sell it to you.

Due to the demand from some of

our customers we have decided t

o hold some bulls back for two ye

ar

olds. These guys are by no mea

ns left overs or problem bulls. Th

ey are moderate in type, thick, an

d

will cover a lot of ground.

Sparrows Kingston 139YKingston is one of them bulls that has surpassed expectations. Kingston owned along with Johnson’s is the go to senior herdsire in both our herds. In2015 he was one of the most talked about bulls and for good reason! Limited quantities of semen were sold for over $135,000 in three differentcountries. Kingston sired sons have been in high demand for the commercial cattleman and for the purebred breeder for the past three years. He pro-duces easy doing, hairy and heavy muscled sons along with highly fertile, attractive and highly productive females. This year will be the first sons tosell off of Kingston females and we couldn’t be happier with the great job they did. The females have beautiful udders, superb mother ability andproduce high quality offspring. Whether it be a Kingston son, grandson or great grandson you can bank on it being high quality.

WC Doubletree 2009 PDoubletree was purchased with Johnson Charolais from Wright Charolais of Richmond, MO in the spring of 2013. The main goal of Doubletree wasto find a bull with outcross genetics to be used on heifers and he really did fit the bill. Bulls sired by Doubletree are structurally correct, super sound,moderate in size and well developed in muscle pattern. This is the first year of milking females sired by Doubletree and they look very promisingwith nice and tight balanced udders with small teets.
