This Resource son has a low birthweight out of a first-calf LT Ranch Ledger that would be safe to use on heifers but with enough growth and power to use on cows.

Donor #501 has a long list of show champions, that not only work in the show ring, but the pasture as well. There is a maternal brother to these bulls that is working in our herd.

5 Selling Choice of the Eaton Herd Sire Prospects It is always an honor to get to sell a choice from Eaton Charolais, the largest Charolais herd in America! The Eaton family always allows us to sell the “Choice of Herd Sire Prospects” in Denver, once a year. The last two years this one-half interest has sold for $11,000 & $15,000.

There is over 50 plus head of ETN herd sires born in 2017 already selected by the Eaton family to use as herd sires this coming summer and you can go into that group to pick one, but don’t think that’s all you get to choose from! There is another 1,000 of 2018 spring born yearling bull calves on test and if you’ve got the heart for it, go sort through them!

The Eaton bloodlines continue to influence the entire Charolais breed. In the fall run of the AICA Sire Summary there were 118 ETN sires listed from purebred breeders in 9 states registering progeny. 6 Selling Choice of One Bred Heifer

The cows in the Cobb herd are studies of excellence in themselves. The stacking of performance upon performance in their pedigrees has produced a Cobb female unequalled in their genetic ability to produce and reproduce superior Charolais females. All of this done in one of the most demanding environments results in these females being a sound, reality-based product on which you can depend.

The Cobb herd is the third or fourth largest registered Charolais herd in the United States with over 700 head enrolled at AICA. This herd has been a closed herd for over 60 plus years and is a performance legend, selectively linebred and constantly culled.

There will be over 100 head of both fall born 2016 bred heifers (this is the first time they have included the falls) and spring born 2017 bred heifers from which to make this selection. BUT you only get to pick ONE! These heifers are due to calve in February through March and you may wait until they have calved out to make your selection from pairs, so a huge advantage. But they would require that you make this selection before May 15, 2019 so they can be moved to pasture.

They only make this selection possible once a year during the Denver Stock Show and the last two years this “Choice of the Cobb Bred Heifers” has sold for $8,000 and $10,000, so be prepared!

Selling Choice of the Eaton Herd Sire Prospects 7 This is another one of those “Only for the Denver Sale – Once a Year” offerings!

Now under the care and management of Lacy & Matt Hebbert, they are opening the herd for your choice of their females. This is one of the truly exciting and thoughtful choices to be made. There are today over 500 head of bred spring calving females from which to select. If you can’t find a great one out of each group of bred cows or bred heifers, you ain’t trying very hard! This is a really quiet, docile set of females.

These cows are bred to several top bloodline bulls including LT-HC Blue Rock 0368 (a maternal brother to LT Rushmore 8060 and sired by LT Bluegrass 4017); HC Blue Rock 2403 & HC Rim Rock 4247 (both sons of Blue Rock 0368); WR Top Hand C631 (LT Ledger son out of Oakdale Duke 9003 daughter) and HC Lone Ranger 4366 (LT Long Distance 9001 son).

Once again we welcome the consignment to Charolais in the Rockies from Howard Rambur in Montana. This “Choice of the Herd” will consist of TWO selections. One from his entire set of spring calving bred heifers which is approximately 40 head and one from his spring born 2018 open heifer calves consisting of about 80 head. Howard has already sorted both of these groups down to the “top shelf” of each group from a cow herd size of over 250 momma cows.

Howard founded Rambur Charolais over 30 years ago in eastern Montana after watching what Charolais cattle do in the harsh rangelands. He said mother nature brings on tough times from wintering calving in 40 below winters to droughts and 100 degree summers. In this environment, traits like calving ease, ease of fleshing, fertility and structural soundness take care of themselves. These Rambur bred females are bred to be tough. The genetic germ plasma of RC Budsmydad 225, born in 1992 is built into the base of the Rambur herd and still today is popular genetics throughout the breed. Many other well known Rambur Charolais pedigrees have come out of this program including RC Ms Bud 418 Polled, RC Sirloin 6111, RC Montana 644 and RC Denver 6026. The RC Ranch has always been a true performance program where the environment and the scale rigoriously cull this herd into trouble-free cattle that will work in the beef industry without problems.

The mating of M&M Outsider to this heifer’s dam was a brilliant move and explained by Clayton as follows. “My brothers and I have always enjoyed bringing cattle out and marketing them in the sales in Denver. So when we decided to bring this heifer calf we were excited because she is the kind we like to produce and market. From a genetic standpoint, this younger April female is out of a future donor for our operation. The Ms Covergirl cow is good functional cattle, perfect footed, great udder and still has an awesome look. The mating to Outsider we always thought was a sure bet, yet this heifer calf still exceeds those expectations. If I could put one label on her I’d just say genuine. This young Charolais composite has been a standout for us since day one. When we bought this cow’s dam, we knew she was backed by champion genetics reigning from the B3 Livestock and the Bauman family name from Wyoming. Her maternal grand dam, KKWB Miss Daisy R1 was a National Reserve Grand Champion which has served as a cornerstone generator for the majority of their purebred operation. Her progeny found their way into some of the elite club calf programs in the nation including Kroupa, Duello, Standridge, LK Ranch and WGB Will Blankers. Another interesting fact is that Kroupa’s son of Daisy R1 was B3 Wyoming Cowboy T752 that sired another National Reserve Grand Champion Female – B3 Miss Maura 17X!

That same day KKWB Miss Daisy R1 was slapped a National Reserve Champion, TR Mr Fire Water was named the National Champion Bull and was selected to flush to KKWB Miss Daisy R1 to produce the dam of this heifer, B3 Shedaisy 350A ET! The number of cows in ALL breeds that have weaned off two natural born sons that have sold for over $100,000 is miniscule if it has even happened!
