Hello! My name is Charles Pettys

I am a student at the University of

Kentucky, and I play soccer for the men’s

varsity team.

I am a positive and fun-loving kid who is in my last year of college. I

am majoring in International Studies but hopefully after college

I will be playing professional soccer! Originally, I grew up in

Columbus, Ohio but then I moved to California when I was 18. I have a mom and a dad and one brother. I enjoy hanging out with friends,

family, and my teammates. I spend most of my time playing soccer but I have many other

I am a senior at the University of Kentucky! My major is International Studies and I am also going for a minor in religious studies. For my degree I am taking a wide range of classes. I am learning Spanish and French, and I am also taking many political science

classes. Plus, I learn about different cultures and societies and religions. It is a very demanding and challenging class regime.

For a student-athlete I do quite well in the

classroom. I have over a 3.0 gpa and was on the academic honor roll my sophomore

year...

When I’m not playing soccer, you can find me at the campus library where I do my studying and homework.

In 11th grade I won my schools math fair!

I have a wide range of work experience!

I have learned the art of customer service through my valet parking job at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Los Angeles.

I learned the restaurant business inside and out at the pizza shop I worked at during high school.

1. Integrity… I am an honest student and a good friend.

2. Leadership… I am a leader on my soccer team and set a good example for my younger brother.

3. Spirituality … I am a devout Catholic and attend church every weekend.

4. Creativity… I love drawing and painting, which helps me express myself.

5. Open-Mindedness… I am very out going and I love to try new things and new experiences.

My goal in life is to be a professional soccer player!

Currently I play for the University of Kentucky.I am #3.

My dream is to play in the MLS, which is the professional soccer league here in the United States.

I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old. I have always been dedicated, determined, and talented.

My favorite playerIs Xavi. He plays midfield for FC Barcelona!

If soccer does not work out…

I have always been fascinated by the bravery and courage that firefighters have. To be in this profession would be an honor. The day in day out thrill of never knowingwhat to expect at this type of job is another aspect that draws me.

I am also interested in being a lawyer, even though this is my 3rd option!

I would like to go to law school at The Ohio State University, because I have always been a big buckeye fan too.

I know law school wouldbe very challenging, but I thinkit could be a very rewardingprofession.
