TRANSCRIPT
The March meeting was dedicated to Ron Bishop. Ron was an active Knight who was very dedicated to the Council. Jim Riccio gave a very moving account of his friendship with Ron and his service to the Council. Donna and his children have been an invaluable asset to the parish. Jim we miss you.
February was a very busy month starting out with the Valentine’s Day Dance chaired by Joe and Maureen Santaniello. Followed by the 13th annual Knights of Columbus Fish Fry’s. I would like to thank all of the Knights that have participated in the past three fish fry’s. Each week, attendance has grown. Thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary for their help cooking the baked fish and providing the desserts for the fish fry’s
We also have 4 big events coming up for Clemson and Bon Secour in March and April. We will also be working the Mobile Meals Hog Fest in downtown Spartanburg. All of the
proceeds will be donated back to Mobile Meals. This is the 3rd largest barbeque event in SC raising over $80,000 for Mobile Meals. The fish fry’s and the special events provide us with the bulk of our funds to give to local charities. The money raised from the golf outing in the fall goes to Special Olympics, H.A.L.T.E.R. and SC Connection of Spartanburg. Please check your schedules and see if you can help out.
Thank you to Brian Folkman and Ron Stanley for leading the rosary before the last three meetings in Church. Every month, we will be saying the rosary at 6:15 before our meetings.
At the semi-annual grand knights meeting in January, the state Knights of Columbus gave Bishop Guglielmone an ultra sound machine for use in the clinic in Guatemala. Thank you for your support in making it possible.

Urgent call for help ! Deputy Grand Knight Howard Haselden
We are short of volunteers for each of three upcoming events in Clemson and Spartanburg. It is essential that we get these shows staffed as we are the sole supplier of help for these events. The proceeds we earn from Clemson go to our many deserving Knights charities. The Spartanburg festival will go to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg. Please have the volunteers contact me by email [email protected] or call my cell phone. Thanks so much for the help. Below are the events we need help with. Kevin Hart – Saturday, March 28 – Clemson Littlejohn (Need 16) Lee Brice Outdoor Country Show – Saturday, April 11 – Clemson Littlejohn (Need 16) Hub City Hogfest BBQ Festival benefiting Mobile Meals of Spartanburg – Friday & Saturday, April 17-18 – Down-town Spartanburg (Need 16)

Charity’s Trumpet March 2015 Volume 5, Issue 3
As many of you know, Charity’s Trumpet has been on hiatus to develop the new council website and revamp the newsletter.
Charity’s Trumpet has resumed normal monthly publication and our new website http://KofCKnights.org is currently up and running. Go
to the main page and simply type in 9575 in the council look up box. The site will include past issues of Charity’s Trumpet, an event cal-
endar, and a photo gallery. More content will be added in the months to come. We hope you find the newsletter/website combination a
valuable resource.
In this issue of Charity’s Trumpet we are including news items and pictures from previous months which did not make publication.

Resolution Vote—April 6th Meeting
Dear Brother Knights,
At our April 6th meeting, we will vote on the below resolution put forward by Jim Riccio. According to Supreme by-laws to move funds
from a building fund to another usage, 2/3 of those present at the meeting, will need to approve the motion for it to carry.
Resolution
Knights of Columbus
Council 9575

($10,000.00). This is to be given to Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church for the sole purpose of applying to and reduction of the
land mortgage.
This was presented at the business meeting on February 2, 2015, for discussion. A 30 day period is required before a vote can be tak-
en. If you would like to participate in the discussion and vote, please attend the April 6th meeting. If you know of any brother Knights
that do not use email, please print this out and give it to them. Thank you.

In October and November 2014 Council 9575’s Women’s Auxiliary held a coat drive for those children in the parish and community who
otherwise might not have had the benefit of a warm coat for this winter. Slightly used coats were donated and new coats purchased
for this successful and worthwhile event.

Heavenly Father, bless Your Church with an abundance of holy and zealous priests, deacons, brothers and sisters. Give those You have called to the married state and those You have chosen to live as single persons in the world the special graces that their lives require. Form us all in the likeness of Your Son so that in Him, with Him and through Him we may love You more deeply and serve You more faithfully, always and everywhere. With Mary we ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
