Charity’s Trumpet March 2015 Volume 5, Issue 3

As many of you know, Charity’s Trumpet has been on hiatus to develop the new council website and revamp the newsletter.

Charity’s Trumpet has resumed normal monthly publication and our new website http://KofCKnights.org is currently up and running. Go

to the main page and simply type in 9575 in the council look up box. The site will include past issues of Charity’s Trumpet, an event cal-

endar, and a photo gallery. More content will be added in the months to come. We hope you find the newsletter/website combination a

valuable resource.

In this issue of Charity’s Trumpet we are including news items and pictures from previous months which did not make publication.

Resolution Vote—April 6th Meeting

Dear Brother Knights,

At our April 6th meeting, we will vote on the below resolution put forward by Jim Riccio. According to Supreme by-laws to move funds

from a building fund to another usage, 2/3 of those present at the meeting, will need to approve the motion for it to carry.

Resolution

Knights of Columbus

Council 9575

Council 9575 does hereby resolve to transfer funds from the Building Fund Certificate of Deposit in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars

($10,000.00). This is to be given to Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church for the sole purpose of applying to and reduction of the

land mortgage.

This was presented at the business meeting on February 2, 2015, for discussion. A 30 day period is required before a vote can be tak-

en. If you would like to participate in the discussion and vote, please attend the April 6th meeting. If you know of any brother Knights

that do not use email, please print this out and give it to them. Thank you.

In October and November 2014 Council 9575’s Women’s Auxiliary held a coat drive for those children in the parish and community who

otherwise might not have had the benefit of a warm coat for this winter. Slightly used coats were donated and new coats purchased

for this successful and worthwhile event.

Heavenly Father, bless Your Church with an abundance of holy and zealous priests, deacons, brothers and sisters. Give those You have called to the married state and those You have chosen to live as single persons in the world the special graces that their lives require. Form us all in the likeness of Your Son so that in Him, with Him and through Him we may love You more deeply and serve You more faithfully, always and everywhere. With Mary we ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
