Antagonist

The antagonist in our film is based on the real life character of Jack the Ripper. Jack the ripper was a infamous murder in the Victorian era who was never caught or found out. We wanted the audience to figure out who the antagonist was and therefor we have a enigma code within our film. An enigma code allows the audience to question certain points within the film and makes the audience want to know who the antagonist is. Throughout our opening scene you do not see the antagonist’s face and therefore leaves the audience in mystery and makes them want to know who it is.

Protagonist

Two characters inspired our main protagonist which are Patrick Bateman and Leonardo DiCaprio. Firstly Patrick Bateman was a main inspiration of ours due to his personality in the wolf of wall street for example how confident he is makes him a very powerful and intimidating character which we will like our protagonist to act at the start of the film then near the end this will be juxtaposed with him turning less confident and powerful due to the antagonist. Moreover we chose Patrick Bateman for his greed for money which will be a main factor of are protagonist. Furthermore Patrick Bateman acts very deviant in his work which we want our protagonist to act like to give a negative representation of the character in our opening sequence.
