This chapter expla ins the functions of the following windows in the Oasis MRI
System:
• Job Queue window (figure 9-1 ), in wh ich you can check the progress of
filming, storing, and other tasks.
• Protocol!fask Lihrary window (figure 9-4), where you can add, change, or
delete protocols and tasks.
• Various System Settings windows, in which you can adjust window properties
and settings.
• Service Tool & Diagnostic window (figure 9-58), where you can perform
system maintenance functions.

Job Queue Window
Definition: 0/COM refers to Digital Communications in Medicine.
9-2
The Job Queue w indow (figure 9-l) allows you to check the progress of
filming, media storage, DICOM, post-processing, and spectroscopy analysis
tasks. Access the window through one of the following methods:
Cl ick the Job Queue button, which is displayed at the end of the Launcher
Toolbar. The Job Queue button only appears when performing a function listed
in the Job Queue window (fi lming, media storage, DJCOM, post processing, or
spectroscopy analysis). W hen the button is active, it will be d isplayed with a
solid green circle.
OR
~ Click the Job Queue Launcher button on the Launcher Tool bar. The Job Queue
Launcher button only appears if the toolbar has been customized. Refer to the
Launcher Buttons section of Chapter 3, System Overview, for complete
Launcher Toolbar customizing details.
The Job Q ueue window opens, as shown in figure 9-1, with five tabs displayed:
Filming, Media, DICOM, Post Processing, and Spectroscopy Analysis. The tab
that is currently active and the information it displays corresponds to the
function that the system is currently performing. Each tab lists a ll jobs in the
queue for that process. In figure 9-1 , the Med ia tab has been selected and the media storage jobs are listed.
