She woke up right after Prince Philip kissed her.
Rappel: Le preterit permet de parler des actions appartenant au
passé. Il y a 2 types de preterit: régulier et irrégulier (voir C1).
ago permet de situer un évènement dans le passé.
Il se place après une expression de durée et signifie « il
y a ».
Ne pas confondre avec THERE qui situe dans l’espace.
after indique qu’une action se passe après une
autre.

A long-legged insect is an insect which has got long
legs.
John is a dark-haired boy but he is not blue-eyed.
adjectif + nom-ED sert à qualifier un nom commun.
Ex : A pointed-eared Elf.
on porte l’attention sur les oreilles pointues et moins
sur l’elfe lui-même.
adjectif + nom-ED permet de mettre l’accent sur une
particularité, ce qui produit un effet de style. A snow-covered mountain fonctionne de la même manière.

Dress number 1 is as expensive as dress number 4.
Music number 4 is worse than music number 5 and
music number 3 is more traditional than music number 2.
Snow White should choose music number 3.
Snow White should get married in the castle. It is less
romantic than the beach, but it is more convenient. It is
better than the forest clearing.

Pour dire de moins en moins:
less and less + adjectif
On appelle ces structures des doubles comparatifs.
Ils marquent une intensité croissante ou décroissante.

be (au preterit) + V-ing permet de parler d’actions
en cours dans le passé.

passé

The prince rescued the princess. That is why she
married him.
The Evil Queen poisoned the apple while Snow White

The wolf was hungry. However, it did not eat the little
pigs.
Les mots de liaison permettent de relier deux
propositions.
Dans une phrase avec deux propositions, on essaie
d’éviter les répétitions. On utilise les pronoms.
