Files Versus Folders
• Files = Individual items that are either applications or created by applications. Typically have a file extension.
• Folders = Storage areas that can hold files or other folders. Typically, do not have a file extension.

1. Create a File called “MIS1a.txt” Using WordPad on your diskette.
2. Copy the screen and paste into “Paint”. Save this file on your diskette as “screen.bmp”.
3. Create a folder called “MIS” on your diskette4. Move “MIS1a.txt” and “screen.bmp” to the MIS
Folder5. Create a folder within the “MIS” folder called
“Pictures”
