Young Eagle Report By John Nowicki Jr
What is the difference between Young Eagles and Eagle Flights? —See page 5 for more in- Formation. At the end of 2011 EAA officially named a new program which is said to launch spring of 2012 called Eagle Flights. It appears the Young Eagles program will be left as it is and the soon-to-be Eagle Flights program will be strictly aimed towards adults. When the program guidelines become available in ―spring 2012‖ I will fill you all in with greater detail. The 2012 Young Eagle Rallies will start in April and go through November. Hopefully this year the weather will be more conducive to flying and we won‘t be shoveling snow in June. If any-one knows of any pilots that are willing to fly Young Eagles please let them now about our ral-lies or pass along my contact information. Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing everyone in 2012.
Happy New Year to All…..
Not much to discuss, however moving forward to the New Year brings new changes and new opportuni-
ties. Our chapter has been a great place to spend time learning about aviation and enjoying friendships
and activities outside aviation.
Let’s keep the spirit of aviation moving upward and onward. I would like to discuss some potential ac-
tivities to help strengthen our group. If any one has any ideas on what we can do to improve our activi-
ties for the coming year, please bring them up. We need your ideas.
See you at the meeting.

program for adults is scheduled to be launched in Spring of 2012. The official name of the program is EAA Eagle Flights and is based on the Successful Young Eagle flights for youth program. will focus on one-on-on Flight experiences that help adults dis-cover more about flying and eventual pilot Certification. As with the Young Eagle program, EAA Eagle Flights will supply orientation flights free of charge by EAA member volunteer pilots Registration materials and addi-tional insurance will be provided thru EAA. That‘s the basics. We‘ll have more at the meeting or in future newsletters.
YOUNG EAGLE NEWS…... As the year progresses, we‘ll be looking for candidates to sponsor to one of EAA‘s Air Academies. If you know of a candi-date (between the age of 12—18) please let us know. Check on Facebook (Youngeagles101) to see some great photos of our Rallies.
