[Assented to 12th April, 1876.] 11THEREAS it is expedient to amend and consolidate the Preaiu!Jle. \ ¥ laws respecting Indians: Therefoi-e Her Majesty, by md with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows :- 43 I. This Act shall be known and may be cited as " The Short title Indian Act, 1876 ; " and shall apply to all the Pro>·inces, and and extent of to the North West Territories, including the Territory of Act .
