Silver Strand Beach - Referred to as “The Strand,” this beach offers a unique collection of both humble post-war homes & multimillion dollar waterfront mansions. Named after the “silver screen,” this is where the stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood vacationed, and Clark Gable and Greta Garbo owned houses here. La Jenelle Park - 35 foot swells proved too much for the ship La Jenelle on April 13th, 1970. Eventually the wreck was transformed into a new arm for the Port Hueneme breakwater. United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Station The Coast Guard Auxiliary Station is known for boating safety classes and vessel safety checks.
