The Thought Evolution, applies the science to help us learn to think differently. The book cites Donius’ experience over the past twelve years and with hundreds of interview subjects in demonstrating how to enable the creative, intuitive right hemisphere to weigh in on our thought processes to help us better understand the obstacles we face and even the lies we may be telling ourselves. Learning to tap into the right brain is similar to learning a new language. But, it is far simpler! Find out what awaits in the subconscious.

In Bed With The BadgeThe Barbara Sheehan Story

By: Jennifer Sheehan and Michele Matrisciani

Barbara Sheehan’s husband used her face as a

punching bag. When he wasn’t smacking her

around, he was threatening her life and the lives

of their children or calling her names or throwing

food or smashing her head against the cement

walls. Why didn’t Barbara just call the police?

Raymond was the police.

In Bed with the Badge is Barbara

Sheehan’s introspective journey told through the

eyes of her daughter, Jennifer, on what it is like to

be a battered woman trapped within her own

silence and shame. How her husband’s

occupation as a sergeant detective with the NYPD

intensified the situation and what ultimately led

her to shoot and kill him in self-defense one

fateful night three years ago. What Barbara

reveals through this intense examination of her

loveless, violent, and obscene marriage will shock

readers to their core.

What was going on in Raymond’s career

while his fuse was becoming shorter and beatings

becoming longer? How did the NYPD contribute

to his brutality? What would she do about her

husband’s extramarital affairs with transvestite

hookers and his gay lifestyles? What happened

when she found the courage to confront him or

defend herself ? Pulling back the curtain on a

relationship of ultimate deprivation and

distortion, In Bed with the Badge, brings the

dynamics, complexities, and realities of domestic

abuse.

Everything you have been told about your daily multivitamin and even your morning glass of O.J. has been a lie...until now.

Naked Calories unveils the naked truth about what you really need to do to reap the benefits of good nutrition. The secret lies in micronutrients: nutrients required by every living thing in minute amounts that the body cannot produce on its own. Through the processing of foods and the increase in consumption of junk foods, micronutrients have been purposefully stripped out unbeknownst to most consumers. You could be eating foods that are filled with Naked Calories--void of any nutritional value, which could be hurting your health. The dynamic author team of Mira and Jayson Calton offers readers this decade’s version of Fast Food Nation along with the user-friendly tone of Eat This, Not That that will help health-conscious people gain a new depth of understanding about:

• How and why their vitamins and minerals are failing them

• What they really need to eat and do to absorb nutrients properly

• What to do physically and nutritionally to ensure their bodies function at the highest level. Naked Calories takes the complicated topic of nutrition and gets to the facts to assist readers in achieving their goal of optimal health.

The Oregon Place is not a homeless shelter, but it does offer apartments to homeless people who might otherwise be sleeping in the woods. The apartment rent is income based. Tenants must earn less than 50 percent of the area median income, which is $26,250.00 for a family of four, to qualify. They also might agree to submit to monthly drug tests. The nonprofit agencies work with tenants, helping them sign up for the support and training they need to regain financial independence and permanent homes. Leases at The Oregon Place run six months, with no deposit.
