TheAnnualTeamTenniseventwasheldon31March2012,SaturdayattheSportsComplex.30membersturnedupfortheeventinfullgear.Forthisyear,LadyCaptainswereappointedforeachteamcomprisingof6-7players.

Membersweredividedintofourteams,namedafterflowers–Rose,Lotus,HibiscusandSunflowerledbyMsNgEngKeow,MsLokeSauLoong,MsLowSiewHoonandMsLeeSanChunrespectively.

Itwasaperfectsunnyafternoontoplaytennisandmostoftheplayersenjoyedthecompanyoftheirfriends.Somemembersevenplayedsoothingmusicwiththeirguitars.

TeamLotuscaptainedbyMsLokeSauLoongcameinfirst,followedbyTeamHibiscus,TeamSunflowerandTeamRose.Aftertheprizepresentation,aluckydrawwasorganizedforallwhohadattended.Everyonewalkedawaywithalittletoken.

On13May2012,18participantsgatheredattheClubtoembarkonanexcursiontocelebrateMother’sDay.

WestartedourjourneywithaguidedtouratMaritimeExperientialMuseum&Aquarium(MEMA).Oneofthehighlightsofthetourwastheexhibitionof“PiratesoftheEast”whereourguidebroughttheparticipantsintotheworldwhenpiratesthrived,howthepirateslived,robbed,pillagedandeventuallymettheirendwhenheroicpiratehunterslikeMingAdmiral,ZhengHepursuedthemandbroughtmanytojustice.AnotherhighlightwastakinganinteractivejourneyalongtheMaritimeSilkRoutethatwaspopularduringthe1400s.

Afterthetourofthemuseum,theparticipantsrelaxedatWaveHouseSentosaandwatchedsurfersthatflockedthereinsearchoftheperfectwavetosurfon.Theparticipantsalsoenjoyeda3coursesetdinnerwhilewatchingthebeautifulsunsetatSilosoBeach.Allmothersandmotherstobewereentitledtoaluckydrawandtheywonprizesrangingfromelectricappliancestoshoppingvouchers.

Afterenjoyingourdinner,itwasofftowatchthemesmerizingshowatSongsoftheSeathatfeaturedlivecast,dramaticspecialeffectsandpyrotechnics.WethenjourneyedbacktoCBCafteradaywellspent.
