EDITORIAL CHANGES IN PROGRESS IN NUCLEAR ENERGY It has been decided, in the interests of rapid and economic publication, to offer authors of review articles in this journal the option of submitting their final manuscripts in a form suitable for direct reproduction. This method will allow publication of the article on a considerably shorter timescale than would otherwise occur with the normal processes of typesetting and proof reading. The guidelines for the preparation of articles in this way are printed at the back of the journal and commissioned authors will receive a copy of these instructions with their Letter of Agreement from Pergamon Journals Ltd, at which time they can consider this option. However, it remains the intention of the Publishers and Executive Editors to maintain the high production standards achieved by this journal which publishes high-quality review papers with a long shelf- life. Consequently, a manuscript prepared in this fashion must be in the style of the journal and any deviation from this style is likely to result in a delay in the publication whilst the necessary changes are made by the author. Neverthless, it is felt that the advantage of relative ease and speed of publication offered to authors by this innovation will be welcomed. T. D. BEYNON 209

CHANGES IN PROGRESS IN NUCLEAR ENERGY

It has been decided, in the interests of rapid and economic publication, to offer authors of review articles in this journal the option of submitting their final manuscripts in a form suitable for direct reproduction. This method will allow publication of the article on a considerably shorter timescale than would otherwise occur

with the normal processes of typesetting and proof reading. The guidelines for the preparation of articles in this way are printed at the back of the journal and commissioned authors will receive a copy of these instructions with their Letter of Agreement from Pergamon Journals Ltd, at which time they can consider this option. However, it remains the intention of the Publishers and Executive Editors to maintain the high

production standards achieved by this journal which publishes high-quality review papers with a long shelf- life. Consequently, a manuscript prepared in this fashion must be in the style of the journal and any

deviation from this style is likely to result in a delay in the publication whilst the necessary changes are made by the author. Neverthless, it is felt that the advantage of relative ease and speed of publication offered to authors by this innovation will be welcomed.
