CHANGES IN MICROSOFT OFFICE 2013A GUIDE TO THE NEW OFFICE EXPERIENCE

MICROSOFT WORD

• You can now edit PDFs directly from Microsoft Word.

• Open a file with a .pdf extension through Microsoft Word.

• The program will convert the file to a Word format.

• Edit, save, and/or print.

MICROSOFT WORD

• Read Mode: open your documents in a book-style format, minimizing editing tabs and showing two pages per screen.

• Go to the “View” tab and select “Read Mode” all the way on the left-hand side.

MICROSOFT EXCEL

• New “Recommended Charts” feature helps you to find the best styles of charts to match up with your data.

• Helps cut through some of the overwhelming options for chart styles.

• Located in “Insert” tab.

MICROSOFT POWERPOINT

• Keep up the formatting menu for pictures persistently.

• Right-click on an image in your PowerPoint, and select “Format Picture…”

• This will bring up the menu, allowing you to alter images at your leisure.

ALL OFFICE ‘13 PROGRAMS

• Insert pictures from multiple sources on the internet.

• On the “Insert” tab, select “Online Pictures”. You will be prompted to enter a search term for Office.com or Bing search.

• You can also sign in to your Microsoft account to upload photos from Facebook or Flickr.

• Help button is now in the top right-hand corner of the screen, next to the “minimize” buttons and close buttons.

• You now have the ability to save to the cloud on your SkyDrive, if you have one, allowing you to access documents from wherever.
