FAQ When this transition happens will I still have access to my current account? Yes. For a few months you’ll be able to use your current Ion community account to review your current designs. When you want to place an order, you’ll be guided to start the migration process and get a Life Technologies account. See the migration step-by-

step section.

What happens to my existing designs/orders when I migrate? Designs/orders associated with your current Ion Community accounts will be migrated over to the new or existing Life Technologies account you choose. All your previous designs, and orders will be available in the new account exactly the same as before. Designs currently in progress will not be affected by the migration. The prices customers will see during checkout are final prices with country specific taxes and shipping included? The prices displayed during checkout include country specific taxes and shipping.

However, there are certain conditions under which the prices displayed during checkout are not final prices and don't include tax and freight due to system limitations. For

example, when the cart exceeds over 20 different items, then the system defaults to list price and doesn't display auxiliary charges (tax, freight, special handling etc.). A price

disclaimer is displayed which informs the customer that account specific prices are currently not available.

Is there a way for customers to print out a quote for this, so they get PO issued? The customer has the option to print the cart page to get a quote. However, if the quote needs to include the shipping and freight charges, then it isn't possible to capture the auxiliary charges on the cart page. With October, this quote model will be enhanced and

made available in the cart with the ability to capture auxiliary charges within the cart. I have a quote from ampliseq.com for a custom panel before the transition, after the transition the price for the same panel is different? The new checkout process calculates customer specific prices, taxes and shipping much more accurately compared to the quote from ampliseq.com. Therefore the pricing may be slightly different from the old quote. I’m a B2B customer, how will I order AmpliSeq Custom products? B2B accounts are not supported on ampliseq.com. You’ll need to create an regular B2C account to place your AmpliSeq custom orders.

Does this transition affect the turnaround time for manufacturing? AmpliSeq Custom Panel delivery times will actually get better!

Step-by-step: Transition your existing Ampliseq.com account to a LifeTechnologies.com account In the transition process, your access to the Ion Community will not be affected. The migration only affects Ampliseq.com.

1. Log into AmpliSeq.com with your existing Ion Community account. You will be presented with the option of doing the migration.

a. If you already have a Life Technologies (LT) account, just input your user name and password in the respective fields. In this case you will continue at step 5 of this document.

b. If you do not have a LT account: i. You may postpone the migration until November 30th. After

this time your account will be disabled. See step 1c. ii. You may start the migration by registering first at the LT

website by following the link “Register an account on LifeTechnologies.com”

c. If you choose to not migrate at this time you can click ‘Not Now’ and proceed to your account. You’ll be able to review your existing designs but not place new orders. When trying to place a new order you’ll see a warning directing you to migrate your account.

2. The process of registering an account in LT is straightforward: fill up at least the required information (fields marked with red asterisks). (Important: notice that the email address provided in this page will become your LT password!).

3. The LT registration process has finished and you are ready to do complete the migration by clicking the “Continue” button. If for some reason you click any other link and are transferred to another page within the LT site, you may have to logout in order to continue with the migration process at AmpliSeq.com.

4. You will be returned to the same page as in step 1 above, on the AmpliSeq.com website to continue the process. At this point you have to use your new Life Technologies login and password information (remember from step 2 above that your new user name is the email address provided during registration on the LT site).

5. Congratulations, the migration is complete! Click “continue” to go to your AmpliSeq.com account. Now you will be able to order Ampliseq panels using the e-commerce facilities of the Life Technologies site.

Custom AmpliSeq Panel orders through Life Technologies e-commerce system

The new ordering process is detailed in this tutorial. In one single checkout process add all the reagent kits and chips needed to complete your AmpliSeq experiment. All countries that have direct ordering enabled will order using the Life Technologies checkout system. Countries with local distributors will place orders through ampliseq.com only and will not go through the checkout process on lifetechnologies.com.

Step by Step: New ordering process 1. Once the status of your AmpliSeq design is “Results ready”, proceed to order

your panel by clicking the “Add to cart” button:

2. At this point you will start the checkout process. In this wizard, you can add Library prep, templating and sequencing kits and chips. Once the items and quantities have been selected click the “Add to cart on LifeTechnologies.com”. After a short wait you will be transferred to the LifeTechnologies.com page where you can continue shopping or finish the checkout process.

3. All of the items selected on Ampliseq.com will be added to your cart on LifeTechnologies.com. From here you will follow the normal checkout process for completing the order.

4. Select your shipping information; provide the billing PO or credit card info.

5. Review your Order. Use this page as the quote.

6. Place the order will pass AmpliSeq custom panel to manufacturing and all the catalog products will be shipped. To cancel or change any order, customers should follow the same path as for any other products. Call the local CSR team.
