As is the history of Easter Services we had many guest and we also had many of our families with their families aending other churches. My prayer is that everyone had an encounter with the Spirit of God, and will carry it with them the rest of their lives. We did have a greater aendance for the Venture Ser- vice (Contemporary) than the Legacy Service (Tradional), and I am thrilled that it is reaching young families, and those who like this style of worship. We had good aendance with the Legacy Service, and it was good to sing those good old tradional Easter Hymns. But it was so awesome to be able celebrate the Risen Lord with both services. I know that our Lord was pleased with each service as many parcipated in Making a joyful noise unto the Lord(Psalm 98:4). We must remember that we are building on our legacy as we venture into the future and thus meeng the needs of people in our community for our neigh- borhood is now a diverse community. Many of our neighbors come from Spanish Speaking cultures, and alt- hough our backgrounds may be different let us accept the fact that we work together, our children go to school together, we play and parcipate in sports together so it makes spiritual and biblical sense that we can strength- en our community by worshiping together. The best way to build on this is by being Gods witness to our neigh- bors and to personally invite your neighbor to come to worship with you. Many mes I think we doubt that we can make a difference in peoples lives. We doubt that we can influence those who have a different ethnic background, or might be younger or older. Some doubt simply because they have a fear rejecon. VOLUME 2 APRIL ISSUE NUMBER 16

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK:

Easter Sunday we celebrated the RISEN LORD with two services. We did not have a Sun Rise Service as we have had in the past put focused on our New Services. As is the history of Easter Services we had many guest and we also had many of our families with their families attending other churches. My prayer is that everyone had an encounter with the Spirit of God, and will carry it with them the rest of their lives.

We did have a greater attendance for the Venture Ser-vice (Contemporary) than the Legacy Service (Traditional), and I am thrilled that it is reaching young families, and those who like this style of worship. We had good attendance with the Legacy Service, and it was good to sing those good old traditional Easter Hymns. But it was so awesome to be able celebrate the Risen Lord with both services. I know that our Lord was pleased with each service as many participated in “Making a joyful noise unto the Lord” (Psalm 98:4). We must remember that we are building on

our legacy as we venture into the future and thus meeting the needs of people in our community for our neigh-borhood is now a diverse community. Many of our neighbors come from Spanish Speaking cultures, and alt-hough our backgrounds may be different let us accept the fact that we work together, our children go to school together, we play and participate in sports together so it makes spiritual and biblical sense that we can strength-en our community by worshiping together. The best way to build on this is by being Gods witness to our neigh-bors and to personally invite your neighbor to come to worship with you. Many times I think we doubt that we can make a difference in people’s lives. We doubt that we can influence those who have a different ethnic background, or might be younger or older. Some doubt simply because they have a fear rejection. Just know with God all things are possible and…

Remember:

“… greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4: 13

Let us always be mindful as we serve the Lord, the Lord promised He will always be with us!

My Masters Treasure Day Care and Preschool!

Spring is truly upon us! As you know we have had some great weather lately. The kids have been getting to play outside almost every day for the past couple of weeks. It also means that the last days of the school year are rapidly approaching! So we are currently putting together our summer schedule. I am looking forward to the trips and classes that the kids will be a part of this year.

We also should have our new website up and running by the end of the month, we are really looking forward to having a tool that the parents can use to get information and see what is going on here at the center. We will have a link to it from the church website, once it is up and running.

You can reach the Day Care office at 402-731-2186. As always, we want to remind you that anyone that you refer to the daycare and they stay for at least 4 weeks, you will receive $25! Also any new sig-nup gets their 4th week free for the first 6 months! Please stop by and see us if you have any questions.

Junior & High School Lesson You don’t want students to just make a wise choice, you want them to learn how to make Godly choices. In this cinematic story, Charlie finds himself on an epic journey in search of a missing person after he gets hacked by an underground group. The choices he’ll make on this journey will change his life forever. Through this four-week series Hacked, students will learn how to make wise choices, what the five main areas of life are, how their choices affect others, and how their choices today determine who they become tomorrow.

Pursuit 2016Calling all Junior High Students!!! Pursuit is May 13th-15th and is for all students entering 6th grade through graduating 8th graders. The cost for this 3 day event is $40, which includes lodging, food and a t-shirt! Registration forms and money are due May 4th. If you would like to try for a scholarship, the form is on our website. For more information visit our website.

Super Summer 2016Super Summer is a 5-day youth camp for students who have completed 6th-12th grades and their sponsors. Super Summer is designed to be both an evangelistic and discipling event. We are scheduled to go July 18th –22nd and the cost this year will be $200. We are currently taking applications for scholarships. Please visit our website to download one today. Also this year if you would like to pay for Super Summer in payments, we can do that as well. Just Contact Pastor Dan Jr.

Junior’s JargonAs wee all know… video games are popular! You, like myself, have probably been in some kind of discussion in regards to video games… “they are ruining society”, “they are good/bad for you”, etc.You might even had to talk to your own kids in understanding priorities when it comes to game time and the rest of life! But, to say they are on the same level as actual sports… I don’t think so! Don’t get me wrong… I love me some Call of Duty and I love playing them with my son, but I think even he would admit… there is nothing like throwing a real football or baseball around. And one last thing… As many people that are playing video games now and the amount of money you can potentially earn… do they offer thumb insurance?JUST SAYIN’!!!Dan Jr

ESPN, the sprawling sports-media empire, is increasingly focusing its energy on a sport in which its athletes don’t sweat: esports (aka, the professional videogamingindustry). While some may scoff at the idea of watching professional gamers play “Starcraft” or “League of Legends,” millions of people do just that, and it’s now nearly a billion-dollar industry, with some players raking in millions. ESPN now dedicates a whole section of its massive website to esports, and the tournaments the network televises and streams can draw huge audiences. However, are esports actually sports? According to Chad Millman, editor of ESPN.com and ESPN the Magazine, that’s not the right question to ask. “At the end of the day, it’s cool, it’s intense, the competition is crazy, it has million-dollar performers, it has high stakes, it has owners who are trying to steal team members from different teams, it has everything that makes sports interesting to cover.” (Time)
