His practice is located at 155-A Lincoln Square Mall, Urbana.

Acupuncture is the treatment of disorders by inserting needles into the skin at reflex points of the body. It is one of the oldest, very safe, methods of treatment.
![Page 15: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
About 10 pins are inserted at points such as the knees, fingers, toes, and ears and stay in about 3 to 5 minutes. Then clients rest for about 30 minutes.
Hey, my lower back pain.
It’s gone!
![Page 16: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
The pins go superficially into the outer layer of the skin and create a feeling of relaxation.
![Page 17: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
Community Acupuncture is held in a large room with recliner chairs where clients enjoy the treatment as a group.
![Page 18: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
The treatment is good for pain and stress and all the conditions listed on his handout. He also provided a map of points on the body where each condition is treated.

The best way to know if acupuncture is for you is to try it. Each of us received a card for a free treatment. Side effects include relaxation and an increased sense of well-being.
![Page 20: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
We had questions: Does it interact with drugs you may be taking? No, sometimes it takes more treatments if a person is taking steroids.
![Page 21: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
Are results immediate or are a number of treatments required? That depends on the condition and the person. Sometimes it takes several treatments. Will it make us stay awake in meetings? Sorry, no. What about weight loss?
![Page 22: Champaign Lion's Chatter](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062423/568142bf550346895daf0a3c/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
