Support our troops by donating to our hero tree at Ranch and Farm. Take a tag off the tree, buy the items listed on the back of the tag, and return the items to the collection area by the tree. Items should be left UNWRAPPED so they can be processed for shipping. Please re-hang the tag on the tree. It's important to return the tag with the items so we can keep the collections going. Doctor Wells Open Again
Dr. Wells' office is open again, but only for
appointments for two half days each week. Tues and
Thurs mornings. This will be my schedule until I am
finished with my last Chemo Cancer treatments that
end at year's end in December. The surgery "got it all".
The extra chemo is in case there was a loose cancer
cell. Also,
I sure am glad many are "cleaning up" our "Main
Street". The building I am in with Ernie's Gun & Things,
just got a new coat of paint, with more improvements
on the way.

Time is flying so quickly this fall, I hope all of you are enjoying the
beautiful change of seasons. I have had to drive through almost all of
Montana in recent weeks and I am always in awe of the colors of fall. We
really are blessed to live in such a diverse and beautiful state.
Please help me in welcoming our new and returning members:
Glendive Community Cancer Fund, Glendive Cab & Delivery Service,
Glendive Kiwanis, Glendive Medical Center, Greg’s Silver Dollar Casino,
Leadership Glendive and Tri-State Truck & Equipment.
Please check out all our members on our website membership directory. Note, we have
added more categories to the membership list. Each member may have two listings as part of
their annual dues. If you would like to be listed in more than two categories give us a call and we
will work with you. Additional listings add $10 per year to your dues. Denny and Joan have been
doing an exceptional job reaching out to new and past members and we continue to grow
stronger each month.
I would like to personally extend an invitation to a new retail committee. We can strengthen
our whole economic future if we work to identify some common goals and join together to
promote shopping locally. See below for meeting details. Please plan to join the conversation on
October 19th.
Currently, a focus of my work is to strengthen our economic future with expanded opportuni-
ties to attract and bring visitors to our community. DCEDC, the Chamber, Plains Economic
Development, Friends of Makoshika, and Makoshika Park leadership are all working together to
build a case to bring full water and campground services to the park. You may be asked to write
or sign a letter of support as we finalize this plan and move forward to build support for the
legislative session.
Always, keep in mind that this is your chamber, it is our shared community, and your
chamber staff is working daily to strengthen and promote both. Please let us know if we can
assist your business in any of your specific needs. I hope to see all of you at the Chambers First
Annual BBQ in the Badlands, October 8th at the fairgrounds.
Sincerely, Christine
