as July’s Logan County Chamber
Business & Entrepreneur of the Month
In 2011, Kimberly Bell and Jeremy Hankins, both affiliated with local real estate companies, saw a dire need for a business mechanism that would allow them to vastly improve the quality of service provided to their real estate clients. They both concluded that a mobile business concept would allow them the highest and best means for achieving that desired level of business and Bell Hankins Realty Group, LLC was born.
Kim and Jeremy believe that this mobile business concept allows them to provide superior service to their clients. It allows their clients the flexibility for meetings and appointments where it is most convenient for them. It is not uncommon for their agents to meet clients in the middle of a farm field, a client’s kitchen table, or in a parking lot while a client is running errands. This mobile business concept proved to be successful, as it dictated the need for ad-ditional staff in order to continue providing the highest level of client service and their team now includes Associate Broker, Scott Abraham, and Sales Agents, Julie Abraham and Chel-sey Bailey.
Bell Hankins Realty Group boasts an average of 18 years of real estate experience per agent and their sales expertise includes residential, commercial, land, farm, and investment prop-erties. Unlike many realty companies, their agents are all full-time agents fully committed to achieving the goals and expectations that are set forth by their clients. In 2016, they were en-trusted to assist 152 clients with one of the largest transactions they would make in their life-time.
When asked if their business had been recently recognized for any awards, certifications, or accomplishments, they responded that they believe in opting out of applying for state asso-ciation sales awards. Instead, they believe “the award that speaks loudest, is that of the sat-isfied client who shares their positive experience with friends and family.”

. BENEFIT: Members gain CREDIBILITY by being a part of an organization that has served the community for over 70 years.
They choose to serve the residents of Logan County because of the people who live here and their unique blend of culture and lifestyles. Logan County really does have something for everyone - agriculture, professional services, manufacturing, and local landmarks for tourism like Indian Lake, Mad River Mountain, Piatt Castles, and the Ohio Caverns. “Logan County offers an exciting opportunity to provide profession-al expertise in all types of real estate sales.” As for why they chose to be a member of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce, they had this to say, “Bell Hankins Realty Group envisions the Chamber of Commerce as the ‘bridge builder’ of Logan County, and realizes the Chamber has the unique ability to work with local govern-ment, private businesses, social organizations, and local school districts to promote economic stability in our area.”
We thank Kim Bell and Jeremy Hankins and their staff at Bell Hankins Realty Group for their 6 years of service and commitment to the residents of Logan County and the Chamber!

SMART MOBILITY CORRIDOR ALONG US 33 UNDERWAY On June 6th, construction began on a 35 mile underground installation of high-capacity fiber optic cable that will bring this region one step closer to self-driving vehicles, known as “smart mobility.” This section of US 33, from Dublin to East Liberty, is known as the “Smart Mobility Corridor” and it impacts Logan, Union, and Franklin Counties. This fiber optic corridor will eventually link roadside data sensors to automobile researchers as they safety test smart mobility technologies, which will include autonomous and connected vehicles in all types of weather conditions. This “Smart Mobility Corridor” is slated to be completed in four stages:
Stages of Construction:
Stage 1—Install fiber on US-33 from S.R. 347 to S.R. 245
Stage 2—Construction on a Telecom-munications Building @ US-33 and S.R. 347 in East Liberty
Stage 3—Install fiber optic lines along US-33 from S.R. 245 to Watkins/Scottslawn Rd.
Stage 4—Install fiber optic lines along US-33 from Watkins/Scottslawn Rd. to S.R. 161/Post Rd. then along Post/Perimeter Dr. in Dublin near the inter-section of Perimeter Dr. to Hospital Dr. and from there, utilize existing conduit to the Metro Data Center located just inside I-270 near the I-270 & US-33 interchange.

Congratulations to Fion Wine Room on
Their Recent Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassadors would like to extend a warm welcome to Fion Wine Room. The unique name comes from the Irish word for wine. Formed in 2016 by Mike McVan, Fion serves wines from all over the world, Kentucky’s finest bourbons, and a selection of beer. They also have a selection of appetizers and desserts, which pair perfectly with their variety of beverages. McVan and his general manager, Keala Williams, lead the staff in daily operations, which includes the wine room, a golf driving range, and a retail shop, which is full of unique gift ideas. In addition, the facility can be rented out for private meetings and parties for up to 95 people. Fion had its first day of operation in March, and since then, has sought out to provide Logan County with an upscale atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine while gathered together with friends.

Congratulations to NEX Transport
The Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassadors congratulate NEX Transport, Inc. (NEX) on the opening of its new corporate headquarters and additional warehouse space located at 13900 State Route 287 in East Liberty. The new headquarters and warehouse space will provide for future growth and enhanced customer support with more than 500,000 sq. ft. of warehouse floor in one location. NEX provides warehouse operations, kitting and sequencing, component de-liveries, lineside support, small sub assembly, and its products are shipped to 13 different countries. The company was established in 1989 in East Liberty, starting out with just seven associates who handled parts for Honda directly from Japan in a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Now, NEX employs 560 associates, 55 contractors, and maintains almost one million sq. ft. of warehouse space in three counties. NEX manages 4 million pieces per month for 30 customers with an impressive 99% accuracy.
NEX chose Logan County because it made logistical sense to both the company and its customers. NEX is highly involved in the area, serving organizations like the Logan County Fair, United Way, Logan County Children’s Services, and Adopt A Highway. The foundation of NEX centers on three pillars: customer happiness, associate happiness, and community happiness. NEX focuses on providing great benefits for its associates and a healthy, productive team-oriented environment. NEX is committed to promoting social contribution in a positive and active light.
