InvitationTriageisappliedinallEmergencydepartmentsinEuropeandaimedtosafelyguidethepatientflowon a busy emergency department, and effectuate that ill patients are seen in time. The Manchester Triage system (MTS) is the most commonly used triage system in the Netherlands. ForthissymposiumwehaveinvitedinternationalexpertswhodevelopedandmodifiedMTSforEurope. Recent research on the validity of the MTS and their performance in different patient groups will be presented.The pitfalls in the practical application, the way in which the system can be evaluated and how it can be used for telephonic triage or streaming at the emergency department will be discussed.We are happy to invite you for this symposium.
