Theoverallgoal is toprovide predictions and assessments of global climate change on seasonal tocentennialtimescales.In2004,ChesterJ.Koblinsky,wasnameddirectorofNOAAOGP.OGPcurrentnameisClimateProgramOffice(CPO). SeveralprogrammanagersfromCPOhaveactedasliaisonwiththeUCARVisitingScientistProgramsinadministeringtheprogram. Those managers have included Kenneth Mooney, Michael Patterson, Lisa Dilling, andJimTodd. In 2011, RickRosen (acting CPOdirector afterKoblinsky’s retirement) supportedthe program until 2013whenWayne Higginswas named director of NOAA OGP.JimToddhas continuedas theNOAACPOprogram liaison toUCAR.
