THE COST
THE FUNDING
Allah the Almighty says;
“...and spend something (in charity) out of the
substance which We have bestowed on you..”
Q63:10
Some of the basic problems faced by the Muslims of
Cambodia are poverty, backwardness, and their
isolation from the rest of the Muslim world, as well
as the absence of interest in their affairs by the rest
of the Muslim world. They are still far behind in
various fields, need help from fellow Muslims, espe-
cially in edu-
cation. Over-
all they still
need assis-
tance to im-
prove their
overall stand-
ard of living.
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world.
Destroyed by decades of war, civil strife, political re-
pression and economic depletion, political stability did
not arrive until a coalition government was formed in
1998. This fact swells the problems faced by the Muslims
This project is a second IIUM Corporate Social
responsibility. Initiated and organised by Mahallah Repre-
sentative Council, Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS),
supported by Office of The Deputy Dean (Residential Man-
agement and Discipline), CFS, with co-partner Cambodian
Intelligent Investment Organisation (CIIO). The cost of the
infrastructure, first phase is estimated at almost
RM100,000, expected to finish by June 2013.
We are inviting all Muslim to participate in this noble um-
matic project in the various forms of contributions, such as
sponsorship, waqaf, amal jariah and so on.
All contributions are eligible for tax exemption. Exemption
receipts would be produced upon request. May this pro-
ject be a successful one and may Allah the Giver bless all
contributors, InsyaAllah.
