• The era of video games has been in existence since the late 1950s.(1)
• Is an electronic game involving interaction with the user interface, creating visual feedback.

• Better visual-motor skills such as resistance to distraction and greater peripheral vision
• Some games require great amount of analytical ability and attention span
• Some games improve the players ability to problem solve as well as improving memory 20

• Some video games have been criticized for causing addictions and violent behavior
• Grand Theft Auto accused of causing race based hate crimes, as well as cases of sexual assault

• Columbine High School Massacre, April 20th 1999
• Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12 students and 1 teacher and injured 21 other students

• Video games have come a long way since they were first created
• They are now faster with better graphics, sounds, control, storyline and have become a customary activity amongst kids, teens and adults
