CEUstandsfor“ContinuingEducationUnit”,astandardmeasurementmanyschoolsand

certificationprogramsusetoencourageandtrackongoinglearningaftergraduation.Ingeneral,

theNTAawards1CEUforevery1hourofeducationattended.ContinuingeducationisacriticalpartofmaintainingtheNTPorNTCcredential,ensuringthatourstudentscontinuetoexpand

theirknowledge,refinetheirskillsets,andgrowtheirbusinesses.Theyreflecttheintegrityofthe

student,theNTA,andthecredential.

TomaintainanactiveGraduateNTAMembership(andtheabilitytousetheNTPorNTC

credential),NTAgraduatesarerequiredtoobtain24CEUsevery2yearsstartingfromthedate

ofgraduation.

W H A T I S T H E B E N E F I T T O B E I N G A N A P P R O V E D P R O V I D E R ?

ForaNTAmembertoreceiveCEUcredits,aprogramdoesnotneedtobeapprovedbytheNTA

ifthememberproducesaCertificateofCompletionandvalidationofthecoursehours.

However,NTA-approvedprogramsaretheprogramsthattheNTAwillendorseandsharewith

members.TheseprogramshavebeenvettedbytheNTAstaffandinstructorstoshowthatthey

meetthequalitystandardheldbyNTAprograms.

TocountasvalidCEUs,agraduatemustsubmitoneofthefollowingforeachcourse,webinar,

etc.:



• Option1:A“CertificateofCompletion”,includingthetotalawardedCEUs/credits(orthe

hoursattended;1hour=1CEU),thepresentername,date,time,location,andtopic.

• Option2:Ifanofficialcertificateisnotprovided,theymustsubmitan“NTACEUReport”

(moredetailsonthisbelow).

PleasenotethattheNTAdoesnotacceptanyofthefollowingasproofofCEUs:

• PhotosofCertificatesofCompletionorNTACEUReports.Theymustscanandemailthe

document,faxit,orsendaphotocopyinthemail.

• LinkstoCertificatesofCompletionorNTACEUReportsstoredonlineinGoogleDrive,Dropbox,etc.

TheNTAmaintainsasimpleapprovalprocessforCEUprovidersthatallowstheNTAtoensure

qualitystandardsaremetbytheprogramsthattheNTApromotes.Detailedfeedbackwillbe

providedbytheNTAontheprogramwhetherthatprogramisapprovedorrejected.Programs

willneedtosubmitthisapplicationforapprovalevery(3)years.

Theflowoftheapprovalprocessisasfollows:

• Step1:Theprogramprovidercompletesthisapplication.

• Step2:TheNTAwillassignaninstructororacademicstaffmembertoaudittheprogram.

• Step3:Thecourseauditorwillprovidefeedbackonthecourseaswellaseitheran

ApprovedorDisapprovedstatuswithinthreeweeksofapplicationsubmission.

• Step4:TheNTAAlumni&AffiliateCommunityManagerwillscheduleacallwiththe

providertodiscussaffiliatemarketingopportunities.

• Step5:TheapprovedprogramwillbelistedontheNTAwebsiteandinmember

communicationswhereappropriate.

• Provideawrittenandpracticalassessmentofstudentunderstandingofthelearning

objectives.

• OfferoriginalcontentforNTP/Cgraduates.

• EnhancetheNTP/Cgraduate’spractice(businessorpersonalhealth)

• Documentthehoursofcontentprovidedintheprogram

• OfferacompetitiveaffiliateratetotheNTAforreferrals
