CET event programme 2019 Opportunities to enhance your skills

ABDO’s prime objective is to provide members with up to date, engaging and relevant interactive CET at accessible event locations and venues throughout the UK. But it’s not just about CET. Events provide a valuable opportunity to engage with your association and to network with peers and industry partners. The new programme will also introduce continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities. Whilst still offering CET where applicable, CPD events will provide focussed learning and development in a specific scope of practice area for dispensing opticians and contact lens opticians. They will also provide an opportunity to find out more about pathways to formally further your education.

Regional events are free to attend for all current ABDO members; students are also welcome and encouraged to attend. A limited number of places may be available for non-members for a competitive fee, so why not invite your colleagues along too? ABDO CET events:

• Events throughout the UK

• Engaging interactive CET FREE for ABDO members

• Provide an opportunity for peer discussion and all core competencies over the CET cycle

• All CET is approved for DOs, most CET is approved for optometrists too

• Easy online booking 4 week’s prior

Event booking You are welcome to attend any regional event free of charge as an ABDO member. Booking will open 4 weeks prior to the event and all places must be booked via the invitation event email or events section of the ABDO website. Can’t make it? Make sure to cancel your place online via your registration link and the place will be automatically offered to the next person on the waiting list. Still unsure?
