Mumbai, The Indian equity markets on Tuesday trimmed

gains to provisionally close on a flat-to-negative noteas investors booked profits and banking and FMCGstocks witnessed selling pressure.

However, positive European markets and healthybuying in consumer durables, IT and oil and gasstocks limited the downside.

The wider Nifty of the National Stock Exchange(NSE) inched lower by 4.05 points, or 0.04 per cent,to provisionally close (at 3.30 p.m.) at 9,653.50points.The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) of theBSE, which opened at 31,392.53 points, closed at31,297.53 points — down 14.04 points, or 0.04 percent, from its previous close at 31,311.57 points.TheSensex touched a high of 31,392.53 and a low of31,261.49 points during intra-day trade.The BSE mar-ket breadth was bearish — with 1,430 declines and1,230 advances.

New Delhi, Home-grown messaging platform Hike Messen-

ger on Tuesday updated its app to Hike 5.0 thatcomes with a wallet, supporting fund transfersthrough Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

sustainability solutions company TÃœV SÃœD onTuesday announced the appointment of India-bornIshan Palit as its global Chief Operating Officer.

The German company, in a statement, said thisappointment marks the first time in the 150-year his-tory of the TÃœV organisation that a non-Germanexecutive has been designated as member of theboard of management.

According to the company, Palit will be respon-sible for operations and sales across all divisions andgeographies, including the German market.

Autodesk appoints AndrewAnagnost as President, CEO

San Francisco, Global software firm Autodesk on Tuesday an-

nounced Andrew Anagnost as the companys newPresident and CEO. He will also join Autodesks boardof directors.

Anagnost led engineering for Autodesk Inven-tor, the company’s 3D model-based product designand engineering tool.

“This is an exciting time for Autodesk, and I amthrilled to be taking on the CEO role,” Anagnost saidin a statement. Anagnost’s appointment follows theresignation of Carl Bass, the company’s former Presi-dent and CEO, this February.Anagnost joinedAutodesk in 1997 and has held several technical andstrategic roles within the company.

ISB students get Rs 22lakh a year job offers

School of Business (ISB) herehave secured over 1,113 joboffers in the campus place-ments this year with an av-erage salary of around Rs 22lakh a year.

Over 400 domestic andinternational companiesmade the offers to 903 stu-dents of the ISB’s flagshipPost Graduate Programmein Management (PGP).

The premier businessschool, which has campusesin Hyderabad and Mohali,this year witnessed an in-creased demand for leader-ship roles from governmentthink tanks, and the publicand private sectors.

It witnessed a 39 percent increase in the numberof recruiters participating inthe placements season.

New Delhi, The Delhi Police has

registered an FIR over a fakegovernment letter circu-lated on the social mediaordering digitisation of landrecords and linking them toAadhaar number, officialssaid on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissionerof Police, B.K. Singh toldIANS that it was difficult tofind out the origin of the let-ter as it was being circulatedthrough the social media.

On Monday, Sheo NathSingh, Under Secretary inthe Cabinet Secretariat, hadfiled a police complaint re-garding the fake govern-ment letter dated June 15.

The fake letter, markedto Chief Secretaries and Ad-ditional Chief Secretaries ofall states, “orders all landrecords to be digitised be-fore August 14, 2017 andadds that properties whichapropriate action underBenami Transactions (Prohi-bition) Amendment Act,2016”. The official, in his com-plaint, said the letter “wasneither issued by the officeof Cabinet Secretariat norsigned by him”.
