A 8-month Part time programme for novice or those who plan to switch career to Facility / Property Management
Programme ObjectivesThis programme aims to offer students a comprehensive overview of facility management and provide a solid foundation for a career in facility management. Upon completion of this programme, graduate will demonstrate competence for future studies and work in the field of facility management.
Admission RequirementsTo be eligible for admission, an applicant must:● have obtained Level 2 or above in five subjects in HKDSE^ including Chinese Language and English Language,
or be a graduate of Yi-Jin Diploma, and currently employed; OR● have passed 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese Language and English Language ("Syllabus B" before
2007), at level 2 / Grade E or above, or be a graduate of Project Yi-Jin Programme, plus 1 year of full-time work experience; OR
● be a mature applicant of at least 21 years of age by the start date of the programme and have at least 2 years of full-time work experience.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview or a written test.
All applications will be processed on a competitive basis. Applications will be selected on the basis of academic merits and relevant work experience.
^ Students awarded with “Attained with Distinction” or “Attained” in a subject of Applied Learning (ApL) will be considered as Level 2 of attainment in an elective subject of HKDSE. Each student is allowed to use up to two ApL subjects in the application.

Programme CurriculumThe programme is comprised of five 3-credit courses totaling 15 credits, to be completed in 2 semesters in 8 months. Each module consists of 39 contact hours.

Hong Kong Qualifications FrameworkCertificate in Facility Management is recognized under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework. QF Level: Level 3; QR Reg No.: 13/000198/L3; Validity Period: On-going since 18 Apr 2013.
Professional RecognitionStudent can apply for student membership of IFMA and HKIFM during study.

Progression OpportunityUpon successful completion of this Certificate programme, students who meet stipulated CGPA requirement can be admitted directly to Advanced Diploma in Facility and Property Management.
Continuing Education Fund (CEF)Modules in this programme are reimbursable modules for Continuing Education Fund.Eligible applicants may be reimbursed 80% of the module fee (for the 1st HK$10,000 subsidy) and 60% of the module fee (for the 2nd HK$10,000 subsidy), subject to a maximum sum of HK$20,000, on successful completion of a reimbursable module which classes commence on or after 1 April 2019.
