This event draws participants from area businesses, and is presented by Maricopa County with support from the city of Phoenix to highlight the benefits of bicycle commuting. Participants who register for the group ride or solo ride by April 12 will receive a light breakfast at CityScape, a Valley Metro t-shirt, and be eligible to win great prizes. HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC: $23.51 - $28.69/hour - Aviation Department.

This position supports a diverse fleet of 900 plus pieces of equipment that require performance of regular preventative maintenance schedules and safety inspections; test driving vehicles, recording repairs and services on work orders. Requires experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy duty equipment or the completion of a recognized heavy equipment mechanic apprenticeship program.

New Interactive Street Restrictions and Closures Map

The Street Transportation Department has launched an Interactive Map for Planned Major Street Restrictions and Closures to provide city residents and visitors with near real-time infor-mation. The new map includes pan, zoom and sorting tools that allow users to interact with the map to change the display on the map. The interac-tive map can be sorted to display current and future street restrictions and closures associat-ed with private development, special events, utility work and street construction and mainte-nance; and can also be sorted to display emergency street closures.
