Project Scope
The HIM Team is implementing VM HIM Cerner Millennium current state as much as
possible along with new functionality such as Chart Deficiency.
o Mapping Notes to current VM Note Types – Virginia Mason Memorial Doc Types are aliased to
Virginia Mason note types where possible. New note types will be created as needed.
o Provider Letters – Virginia Mason and Virginia Mason Memorial will use one set of letters to
provide notification to Providers that documentation is required.
o Provider Message Center – With minor changes Virginia Mason Message Center will be extended
to Virginia Mason Memorial.
o Chart Deficiency – Cerner Millennium Chart Deficiency is new to both Virginia Mason and Virginia
Mason Memorial. A common document deficiency list is used between Virginia Mason and Virginia
Mason Memorial.
o XR/ROI Distribution – New Page master is built to reflect Virginia Mason Memorial logo, phone
and address. New distribution and ops jobs will be built to support Virginia Mason Memorial as well.
o Foreign System Interfaces –HIM team is focused on Dictaphone and 360 Encompass HL7
interfaces. Many other foreign system results interfaces are being worked on by other work streams.
