1. Enroll the student into your Student Information System (SIS)

2. Log in to MSDS, perform a student search, type the student’s core fields

3. UIC exists? Copy/paste the UIC into the SIS4. No UIC? Add the student to the Request for UIC

collection, get the new UIC, copy/paste into the SIS

1. MI School Data as a strategic landing site for access to multiple education information services. Includes a single/common sign-on solution, top-down navigation, responsive design (think mobile), and enhanced search features.

2. Establish functions within the site to combine data in ways that tell the “story” of districts & schools, colleges, universities, and education programs. A combination of dashboards, reports, maps and profiles that will convey information to parents, educators, policy makers and communities.

3. Update, or provide a “facelift” of the current metric layer. This layer of the site is considered stable and accepted. We will apply updated technology and design to enhance the user experience.
