Piemonte is the first and only regionin Italy to have created and implementedan innovative financial instrument, theRegional Investment Contract, to fosterthe internationalisation of the regionthrough the growth of investments.The Contract aims to encourage the arrivaland development in Piemonte of newinvestments in industry, services andresearch from abroad and from areasoutside the region; to create synergies withthe local fabric of industry, services,vocational and specialist training, researchetc.; to favour the growth of opportunitiesin terms of employment and increase inknowledge, as well as collaboration in thedevelopment of positive externalities inthe local areas.The beneficiaries will be SMEs and largecompanies, with a foreign shareholder orcontrolling shareholding not present inPiemonte, which intend to locate anoperating unit in our region. Public bodiesand local authorities, universities andresearch bodies, science and technologyparks, and innovation hubs present inPiemonte, can benefit from the Contractas they contribute directly to the newinvestment.

The Regional Investment Contract

Piemonte AgencyCommissioned by the Region, PiemonteAgency manages the Regional InvestmentContract, which is stipulated between theRegion and the company. It provides thedrafting and implementation of the Contract,and accompanies the foreign companythrough the entire negotiation phase:• preliminary analysis of eligibility

requirements• verification of adherence to the strategic

indications given by the Region• accompaniment in the negotiation

stages, in the relations with publicbodies and local authorities, and in theidentification of local partners for thedevelopment of the project

• assistance for the identification of thebest funding solution and in the variousphases of implementation of the project

• monitoring and control of the obligationsenvisaged by the Contract.

Piemonte Agency is the one-stop shop forcompanies that have an investment projectin Piemonte. It gives the investor guaranteesin terms of financial support and timescheduling for the project.
