thinking ahead to future-Proof our worldthe Centre for intelligent Places is a henley Business school research hub. we engage in research-led collaborative work to tackle challenges for physical-digital interfaces in society and the economy, both today and in the future.

it is the relationship

between the digital and physical (i.e. digical) worlds that particularly interests us

innovation approach

Our aim is to explore, examine and envisage sustainable ways of creating digically-enhanced living environments, responsible businesses and resilient communities. We do this by addressing ‘real-world’ issues related to the rapidly changing virtual and physical environments that shape economic and social activity.

Co-creating knowledge

As well as our own faculty research projects, we collaborate with corporates of all sizes and have partnerships with a wide variety of international academics, institutions, Government agencies, think tanks and third-sector organisations.

thought-leadership

We create dynamic global thinking on the future role of digital and physical environments in securing equality and sustainability in economic prosperity, resource use and societal progress.
