Welcome to the Central Orange County Career Technical Education Partnership (CTEp). CTEp is a strong and vibrant regional educational consortium composed of the Garden Grove, Orange and Santa Ana Unified School Districts and the Orange County Department of Education. Together, we create innovative, inspiring and challenging college and career pathways programs for over 11,000 high school students annually in 20 public high schools and two CTE centers in Orange County’s highly diverse central region. Last year, CTEp provided CTE classes for nearly 27% of the partnering districts’ 40,000+ high school students, and 42% of all high school seniors.

CTEp’s mission is to ensure that all students graduate from high school prepared for success in postsecondary education and in the high- skill, high-wage careers of the future. To accomplish this, we provide “world-class” Career Technical Education that links complex CTE coursework with rigorous academic standards and 21st Century Skills. Our programs provide additional benefits: students have the opportunity to enroll in courses for which they can earn both high school and college credit (often called “articulation” or “dual credit”). In addition, many courses meet UC/CSU “a-g” entrance requirements. Students also participate in internships with local employers, where they have the opportunity to apply academic theory, solve real-world problems, practice teamwork and begin to embrace the American work ethic.

Since 1972, CTEp has inspired and encouraged hundreds of thousands of students to pursue the advanced education they will need to qualify for the exciting careers Orange County has to offer. Using a proven combination of integrated academics, work-based learning, career guidance and business internships, graduates of the Central Orange County CTE Partnership have successfully entered all walks of life.

Wishing you great success in all of your endeavors.

Best regards,
