The Central Ohio Section held a meeting at ASNTHeadquarter on Columbus, Ohio on 20 February. There were10 members, guests and vendors in attendance. Mr. TerryClausing gave a presentation on “ASNT NDT Level IIcertification in infrared thermography for buildingdiagnostics.” Mr. Clausing currently serves as the VicePresident for the American Society for NondestructiveTesting (ASNT) and also chairs the RESNET Enclosurestechnical subcommittee. In the presentation, Mr. Clausingexplained how ASNT and RESNET work together to developa Level II certification in infrared thermography for buildingdiagnostics. In this day, it is no any regulation and certificationon home inspector. Lots of home inspectors claimed they canprovide energy auditing for home inspection by using a IRcamera. However, most of them don’t have basic infraredthermography training and fundamental knowledge. ASNT and

Directions:From Columbus take I70 East to the OH-79 exit 129B toward Newark. Follow North approximately 5.6 miles and turn left onto Kaiser Drive. Go approx. .1 miles and Mistras is on the right hand side as you enter the Kaiser Aluminum facility entrance. Our entrance is straight ahead as you turn in. Do not go to the Kaiser guard shack.
