Gosford City Council is seeking a new naming rights sponsor for the popular icon Central Coast Stadium. Owned and managed by Council, the waterfront stadium not only has a capacity of 20,059 people but also many opportunities for a new naming rights sponsor to develop innovative ways to engage patrons, sporting fans and the local community. Central Coast Stadium is located in Gosford City, the capital of the Central Coast, around an hour’s drive north of Sydney on the foreshore of the Brisbane Water.

The Central Coast enjoys an array of coastal waterways and expansive bushland in a relaxed and laid back setting. Gosford City Council is seeking a new naming rights sponsor for the popular icon Central Coast Stadium, formerly known as Bluetongue Stadium.

HISTORYCentral Coast Stadium was officially opened in 2000, with a unique three grandstand design featuring filtered views of the Brisbane Water foreshore through a row of iconic palm trees. The stadium has a crowd capacity of just over 20,000 and is now home to the Hyundai A-League’s 2012/13 champions, the Central Coast Mariners. The ground is also host to regular NRL fixtures and was a host stadium for the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

TERMSAND CONDITIONS

Gosford City Council is seeking to enter into a long-term agreement with a preferred sponsor for an initial period of five (5) years. Offers for extended or reduced periods will also be considered.

The naming rights sponsor will be responsible for all costs associated with the production, installation, removal and maintenance of approved signage and or advertising.

The Hunter Councils Hunter Councils EOI Conditions of Registration will govern this EOI.

Process & Assessment CriteriaProcessThis approach to the selecting of a potential sponsors comprises:

Formal Invitations by Council to Short Listed respondents to provide final sponsorship offers.

Respondents should be aware that this EOI is the first step in a two stage process and that tenders will only be requested from a short list drawn from the Respondents who respond to the invitation to register interest.

Notwithstanding the above, Council is not bound to proceed to Stage 2.

Council is under no legal obligation of any kind to any Respondent unless and until a contract has been executed with the successful Tenderer.

This EOI is for the purpose of determining a shortlist of suitable naming right sponsors.

Respondents will be assessed for suitability on the basis of the EOI submitted.

Assessment Criteria

Council is not bound to shortlist any EOI submitted. Council, in its discretion, will accept an EOI that it determines is likely to provide the most advantageous result. Submissions will be assessed on “conformity to the documentation” and the following criteria:

• Proposed level of investment.

• Added value the sponsorship provides.

• Defined partnership objectives and requirements.

• Venue compatibility, fit with the Central Coast, the stadium & Council.

• Company details, activities, branding and image.

• Ideas for growing number of events held at the stadium.

PrivacyTenderers are advised that all (if any) personal information

required to be provided with their tender submission is intended only for use by Council staff. The purpose being for the

assessment of tenders (in accordance with the Local Government Tendering Regulations). The information will be stored in

accordance with the requirements of the State Records Act 1998.
