24th annual lee County golf Classic

September 2013 Forty-eight teams hit the links and participated in the Foundation’s 24th Annual Golf Classic held at the Sanford Golf Course in Sanford, NC. Teams teed off at 8:30 am and 1:30 pm to help the Foundation raise over $37,000 for needs of the college.

Scholarship luncheon

November 2013 The CCCC Foundation honored its donors and scholarship recipients at its annual Scholarship Luncheon held at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center in Sanford, NC. The luncheon was coordinated by the college’s Culinary Arts students.

Second annual Christmas tree

lighting December 2013

The local community got into a festive holiday spirit on the Lee County Campus during the Second Annual CCCC Foundation Christmas Tree Lighting. The Southern Lee Marching band brought Santa Claus to town led by his faithful “Reindeer” from the college’s Veterinary Medical Technology Program. ‘Twas the Night before Christmas was read and hot cocoa and cookies were served tohelp usher in the holiday season.

third annual rabbit run 5K race & third

annual Chatham County golf Classic

April 2014 Despite the rainy weather, runners and their canine friends “hopped” around CCCC’s Chatham Campus and downtown Pittsboro, NC during the Third Annual Rabbit Run 5K. Monies raised from the run help support the needs of the Chatham County Campus.

April also featured the First Chatham County Golf Classic held at the Preserve Golf Course in Chapel Hill, NC. Ten thousand dollars was raised through 12 participating teams who braved the chilly spring air to raise funds for CCCC students.

First Harnett County golf Classic

March 2014 Golfers from Harnett County teed it up for the First Harnett County Golf Classic held at Chicora Golf Club in Dunn, NC. Eighteen teams represented the area and raised over Ten thousand to help support student scholarships and other needs at CCCC.

& 14th annual CCCC Foundation Furniture auction

June 2014 The Second Annual “Sweet Celebration” was held at Café 121 in Sanford, NC as the Foundation thanked our “sweet” donors who supported the 2013 Annual Fund Drive. Special treats and sweets were provided by the college’s Culinary Arts students.

Students in Carpentry and Welding programs at the Harnett Correctional Institute hand crafted furniture and other home goods for the 14th Annual CCCC Foundation Furniture Auction. The auction raised nearly $22,000 for the Harnett County Student Endowment.

Foundation Statement of FinancialsThe community continued to show their support for Central Carolina Community College by contributing $680,503.33 during the 2013 – 2014 fiscal year.

In-kind gifts of equipment, supplies, pro bono, and other services totaling $10,390.40 were also donated to the college.

During the 2013-2014 fiscal year the CCCC Foundation provided $388,000 in support to the college and to the students it serves.
