• Established and funded in 2005 as University Center for Excellence in Disabilities
• Part of a National Network of 67 similar Centers in medical schools and major universities
• Approved in 2007 by Board of Regents to operate as the Center for Disability and Development (CDD)
• Texas AgriLife Extension Service is a key TAMUS organizational partner
