Currently Farmgard is operating in New Zealand out of two distribution centres – the

Northern Distribution Centre in Auckland and Southern Distribution Centre in Oamaru.

Tried, tested and proven in the harshest of New Zealand conditions by a large number of contractors and large

growers, Celli Folding Power Harrows are renowned for the rigid gear bed design which is very important on folding

machines. Greasable top bearings (to ensure adequate lubrication), together with wide spacing between the upper

and lower bearings, results in an exceptionally long life span. Hydraulic folding mechanism is totally hydraulic

Carl O’Connor, contractor who farms at Matangi, Waikato, says his Celli Power Harrow is fantastic for

removing the maize stubble from his 50ha crop on

his 100ha property.

“We wanted a machine that could do it in one

pass. All I did was a deep rip in one pass with that

machine and we had a seedbed.”

He says what impressed him most was Celli’s

robustness and power.

“We mulched the stubble fi rst and then just went in

with this machine and it would have buried a good

75% of it, and the more compact the ground was,

the better it worked.

Taihape beef and sheep farmer and contractor, Greg Bennet purchased a Celli Pioneer 170 Rotary Power Harrow and has used it for pasture renewal

and planting feed crops on 11ha of his 343.9 ha

property, as well as doing contract work for the local

farmers.

“I can go straight in with this (using the harrow) and

tow the roller after it, and the job’s done. It makes a

far better seedbed in one pass, packs it down at the

same time because I tow a roller behind it and it

levels the paddock out a lot better.

“It does three jobs in one pass, and all that’s left is

rolling the drill over to sow the seeds.”

He says in the past he had to go over a fi eld up to

four times before using the roller.”

It saves fuel because you’re not going over the

same place four times, and you’re getting a better

seedbed. Everyone that I’ve worked for this year say

they’ve had their best crops this season.

Northland Contractor Allan Smith bought his Celli Pioneer 260 last year. He says it came with a set of

hoe rotors, which are currently on the machine.

“It has a very high axle speed on those rotors and

has done a very good job. You’re looking at a very

slow speed with the wide gear to achieve effi ciency,

but you save a lot of passes, and people are now

looking at carbon costs per acre.”

Allan says the Celli Spike Rotor is also a good

machine for hard country.

“We bought it mainly to have a wider machine and

with the hoe rotors it’s given us a versatile machine.

The Celli Spike Rotor makes using the bigger

horsepower tractors the much more effi cient.

South Island Agricultural contractor Greg McKay saves time, petrol and is making more money using his Celli Tiger 280P Rotary Power Harrow

he brought over a year ago.

“It helps you get up hills which means you can

do a lot more work more productively.”

Mr McKay who has been a contractor for fi ve

years has been able to increase his pay rate since

buying his Celli, because now he can do three

times the amount of work, so employing him at a

higher hourly rate still saves the farmer money.

It does about three passes in one - you’re saving

yourself a lot of diesel.
